Request for Applications: District 1 Residents to Serve on City Boards and Committees

Are you passionate about shaping the future of Pompano Beach? Do you want to have a voice in decisions that impact our community? District 1 residents are invited to apply for the opportunity to serve on the following city boards and committees.

I am seeking engaged, community-minded individuals to represent District 1 in the following roles:

1. Charter Amendment Advisory Board

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

2. Community Appearance Committee

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

3. Community Development Advisory Committee

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

4. Cultural Arts Committee

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

5. Education Advisory Committee

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

   • 1 Alternate Member

6. Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

   • 1 Regular Voting Member (must be a registered voter and property owner in the city)

7. Planning and Zoning Board (Local Planning Agency)

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

8. Pompano Beach Economic Development Council

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

9. Zoning Board of Appeals

   • 1 Regular Voting Member

   • 1 Alternate Member

     
     

What You Need to Know

Serving on a board or committee is an excellent way to:

• Contribute to decisions that shape our city’s future.

• Collaborate with other residents and city leaders.

Eligibility Requirements:

• You must be a resident of District 1.

• For the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, you must also be a registered voter and property owner in the City of Pompano Beach.
